I have been using smart switches with voice controlled actions for over 2 years with alexa and I share my experience about using them I also share the different products that I had used and what are the pros & cons of using these smart plugs. These smart switches can be used for simple home automation of appliance and I share my experience in this video.

Ranjit Sir, this is quite late a question to ask here, but maybe you can help me out. Oakter plug schedule feature won't work when it's not connected to WiFi. Do you face the same issue? I want my appliance to turn on and off when I'm not at home. But if WiFi gets off it doesn't work.. can you suggest a workaround? Thanks.

Wifi Range of Oakter is horrible. Tuya plugs/ Wipro Smart Plugs have 1.5-2x range than oakter. They show power usage and voltage as well. I use oakter and I get server error 3/5 times daily. IR blaster is the only thing that is good from oakter.

i have 2 alexas and i use them to listen to music and nothing else. by the time i say "alexa do lauda lahsun" and by the time it performs that task, i will myself go and do that task.

The ir blaster device you're talking about is oakter oakremote & it works only with the devices that are installed in a single room means if your device is in another room & the oakremote in another room then simply it doesn't work. You need one for each room, also I feel it little slow to response it may be some issue with my internet speed but it takes time to respond. Also I've to configure the oakremote manually with my tv & other remotes as my devices are not listed in the app...

I really am not a big fan of oakter smart plugs. As you said, they're expensive and don't support power monitoring. But even worse, they don't support IFTTT which is a shame.

Never turn off ac directly. It will damage the compress. Use remote to shut down ac it takes some time to stop the operation of the compressor after that turn off the switch.

Oakter smart plugs nd especially its camera suck!!! Sonoff is 100 times better comparitively. Telling this after 1 year of use..wasted 24K!!! Too much Latency, cannot do anything if internet goe, no intranet hub mode. My opinion, looks like Ranjit got paid by Oakter for this. Buggy app and worst customer service.
